Nina Lilly | Chilliwack Fashion Photography

Nina wanted to do a session after being behind the lens for so long, I was more than excited to take advantage of the snow and sun!

This last image SCREAMED Kristen Stewart, seriously in the moment, in the camera, on the computer screen, its totally doppleganger!

Dennis & Melissa | Chilliwack Wedding Photography

Melissa is a fabulous hairstylist at Ambience Salon (Garrison Crossing), owned by two very dear friends of mine Sue and Roland. Melissa has cut and dyed my hair a couple times and every time we’d talk about everything under the stars, including her boyfriend, Dennis.

After four years together, Dennis proposed to Melissa.

Melissa was beside herself excited, with a gorgeous ring on her hand and a loving man by her side what she needed now was a photographer. Melissa was quick to start searching and her Facebook post had a plethora of photographers names being submitted for her consideration, but her boss (as well as another client) told her I would be perfect for her. I was so excited when she contacted me about doing her engagement session. I’m in love with all of their pictures and look forward to their wedding.

Oscar and his little Sweetie | Chilliwack Family Photography

Renee is someone I have known since she was a little girl, this Christmas she contacted me about wanting to do something special for her boyfriend Oscar. Renee wanted him to have pictures done with his daughter. It’s a small world because I knew Oscar briefly through my old manager, so it was quite fun to shoot the two on the day of.

I am a daddy’s girl myself and this session meant a lot to me for that very reason. Oscar and his little girl have a contagious smile they both share in common. The connection they have is unwavering and it is quite visible that she adores her daddy through and through.

Dean & Lindsay | Chilliwack Wedding Photography

I met Lindsay two years ago at her sister wedding. I remember I was running around getting prep shots as all the girls were getting ready. I caught Lindsay texting her boyfriend, “I miss you”. She missed him on this important day, Dean lives across Canada and she met him via bible school and he couldn’t make it out.  I could see it in her eyes, she adored him and wanted nothing more than to have him there with her.

Two years later he got down on one knee right before Christmas and Lindsay without pause said YES. I was so excited to see her announce it to all her friends and family on Facebook, I added my ‘like’ and a few messages later she asked for me to shoot her May wedding.

I knew Dean was only here for a short visit so I got to work quickly. When Lindsay asked when? I said lets shoot your pictures on Christmas Day between all the breakfasts and dinners, and we did.

Im so excited to take her wedding photos. The Blocks are such loving and welcoming people, and Im blessed to be apart of another of their daughters weddings. Its like going home to people you know!

Merry Christmas Dean & Lindsay!

Adrian & Michelle | Chilliwack Wedding Photography

You know how you know someone through a friend of a friend… well Michelle is a friend of some of the nicest friends I know.

When I sat down with Michelle she told me all about her and Adrian’s love story. She met him online and went for a simple date, a date that ended up lasting all day long. You know that feeling when there is an instant connection? I could relate to Michelle instantly after I knew their story, and I couldn’t wait to photograph their next chapter.

When we scheduled their session I took no notice at what day it would fall upon, and when I looked at the date a second time we had a good laugh, we weren’t worried about the weather just the apocalypse. Luckily for all of us, we survived. The session was so full of love that I quite instantly fell in love with them myself, the two shone together. I simply cannot wait to shoot their wedding this February, MY FIRST 2013 bride!

Merry Christmas Adrian & Michelle

^ I got to test out my second shooter’s FISH EYE!!! I stick to primes and zooms, but have yet to buy a fish eye. Im thankful for Dave and his trusty little fish eye, it was definitely fun to play with.

The Schlitt Family | Chilliwack Family Photography

Selena is an old friend from highschool whom I laughed with more than I studied with. She is such a vibrant soul and vivacious personality. When Selena called me to do family photos I was beyond excited because Selena and Mason are newlyweds and still in honeymoon mode, and Seth her son was my very first Baby Session. I am absolutely in love with each and every image from this session. Much love to your gorgeous little family Selena!

Great White North | Personal Blog

Cant believe im going to say this… but I’m feeling a little homesick for the snow and -30 degree weather.

I got to spend the week with my best friend and boyfriend (of almost a year) helping him move. I flew up to Edmonton, we packed up his whole life, and made the cold trek to YELLOWKNIFE.

The journey was packed full of “fun” little things like having the fuel gel in the tank, Turkey Pepperoni Sticks, and a bridge opening. Granted the turkey sticks hold no significant value to the story, they were just surprisingly delicious.

Early in the week I met the Taiga crew for the first time, they are some of the nicest people I have met, they were Ian’s family for a lot of this year. I was very grateful to the owner of Taiga Helicopters for letting me take some shots at the hanger.

We also spent some time with Ian’s family, and I was very grateful for that. When we finally arrived in Yellowknife I got to spend some much anticipated time with Mike and Arielle, and Adam (Ian’s closest and best friends) Quickly we got Ian settled in and spent some great quality time as a group.

I couldn’t have asked for such a great bonding time with my man, and I was beyond blessed to spend time with those he cares most about.

I really want to take a moment to let Ian know that I value every word he has spoke into my life these last 11 months, I appreciate his soft and genuine heart, and that he invests his whole heart into seeing me succeed in every avenue I apply myself in. Ian you are such a talented photographer, business man, and pilot and I honor the hard choices you have had to make in your career; I look forward to where it takes you in the next few years. I love you.

Thanks for the trip babe!

This shot was thanks to Ian's new 70-300mm lens, so grateful that he let me use it for a mid flight shot!

^ The picture above was taken by me but it should be noted that I only got this shot because I was testing out Ian”s 70-300mm Canon L lens

The moon below was also taken with the same lens but this is entirely his image, composed and shot by him. He is very much a technical photographer and I love his work, there will be other shots in this album that are his as well and I will point them out!

Ian took this shot, a great representation in my opinion of the community that we make when strangers come together.

I took this shot of Ian because to me it said so much about who he is, he is a very thoughtful hard working man that puts 110% into everything he does, and once in a while I see this side of him... I see the moments where he just takes a breath and lets himself rest... I may not know what he is thinking in this shot, but it means a lot to me!

Justin & Janine | Chilliwack Wedding Photography

Janine and I share something very special in common… we share the most adorable niece ever.

More than 4 years ago now Janine’s sister became a huge part of my brother Brent’s life. And ever since… well simply put, we became family.

We waited and watched Justin and Janine’s budding relationship over the years… and when Justin finally proposed on the roof top of Janine’s parents house with fireworks set off by friends, Janine said yes.

I was so blessed to be asked by Janine to be their wedding photographer, to share in their day and provide them with wedding pictures that will bring them back to that very moment they promised forever to one another.

Im such a gushy one, I get teary eyed simply thinking about the overwhelming love a bride and groom have for one another. This sweeping emotion that they hold in their eyes, that translates to everyone around them. Such intense all encompassing love. I can only imagine how that day will feel and being able to be there for that moment with Janine meant more to me then words can express.

I wish you both an eternity of love and laughter, and a life that has blessing in every step you take together.

The last 3 images…. my heart…. the father daughter dance had me in tears.

Gord & Natalie | Chilliwack Wedding Photography

Gord and Natalie are quite possibly my favorite, but I may be biased.

I met them shortly after I started dating Gord’s brother Ian, I fast fell in love with them, their hearts, and their passion for life. Natalie had met Gord in high school and after graduation went to school in the UK, Gord had gone to film school (both adventurers at heart). For the last 6 years they have found love and eternity in each others hearts and arms.

I was more then honored to be apart of their big day; and Natalie, you took everyone’s breath away especially Gord’s. Though it was shot this past summer im blessed to share their wedding on my blog, all my love to you Mr. & Mrs. Wills.

Levi & Sarah-Lynn | Chilliwack Wedding Photography

Levi (our American) and Sarah-Lynn (our Canadian) met while at Bible School in California. This couple is extra special to me because they had to be long distance until everything lined up and he could finally move to Canada and marry his sweetheart.

The wedding party was hilarious, especially since one whole half of the bridal party (the groomsmen) was VERY MUCH American. We laughed just as much as we cried this day, there was such an evident respect and honor toward this day, barely a dry eye there.

All my love to you both ♥ Mr. & Mrs. Rinear
